If you are in Crisis…

If you are suffering acute distress and feel that you are at immediate risk of harm to yourself or someone else:

  • Go to your local hospital's A&E department

  • If you can’t get there call 999

You can also contact the Samaritans on their 24/7 helpline 116 123 or visit www.samaritans.org

You can call 111 if you're not sure what to do, but it's not 999 emergency. It's a way to find the right NHS service and help at any time. Please bear in mind that with the current Covid-19 crisis you may have to wait a long time.

If you are between counselling sessions and feel like you need to someone immediately you can either call the Samaritans on 116 123 or email them on on jo@samaritans.org (email response time is 24 hours).

If you are not in the UK, take a look at Befrienders.org to find your local crisis service.
